Nearly 800 pages contain 2,500 entries – starting from ActionScript, Bluetooth, DdoS, through GNOME, Kazaa, SOAP up to XSLT or Yahoo, as well as information management.
The encyclopedia presents clear, comprehensible definitions of terms belonging to disciplines like: web design, web sites, multimedia, e-business and so called New Economy, computer networks, telecommunications, computer systems security, hacking, cyber-culture etc.
The book offers much more than just mere definitions – explanations of more important entries were elaborated in the form of extensive articles, being the best starting point to study certain issues. Cross-references between entries show connections between them and build a coherent image of the world of new technologies.
